We had such a lovely time in Amsterdam, and it would not have been the same without the comfort and surroundings made available to us. The room where we stayed was in a detached house, built and designed by Henk, which was nicer than the majority of BnBs we have stayed in. Our breakfast was flexible on timing, and you coudl tell it had been prepared with love and care. The room has a great view, with all the amenities you would want. You have a dining area available where you have your host prepared breakfast, and you own bathroom with great facilities. During the day bikes were made available to us, along with maps and suggested tourist options. Henk was even kind enough to pick us up when one of our bikes suffered a puncture, and it was raining. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here who wants to experience the comfort and peace that you cannot get in centre of Amsterdam. The facilities are great for couples and families, and even groups who want to do their own thing. There are many transport options available to get into the city, and all take less than 30 minutes. However if you want to experience Holland properly then take a free bike and ride along their quality cycle paths. Compliments to Henk for his kindness and help during our stay.

" Thanks for a great stay. No suggestions (other than patching the leak) just wish we could have stayed longer!" Henk was a great host and the accommodations were excellent for our visit. We used the Park and Ride which was a 10 minute drive and then tram for 4 of us costing 8 Euro for the day. You can also take bus from doorstop. Breakfast was delicious and filling. His room and bathroom was spacious, modern and clean. A wonderful stay in Amsterdam.

Henk ist ein toller Vermieter und sehr hilfsbereit bei allen Fragen. Die ländliche Umgebung bietet Ruhe obwohl man direkte Anbindung an Amsterdam hat (10min. mit Bus). Das Haus ist sehr schön und sauber, das Frühstück hatten wir gemeinsam mit weiteren Mietern die gerade eine Weltreise machen - war sehr interessant und kommunikativ. Henk hat kostenlose Parkplätze und auch etwas zentraler kann man in Amsterdam-Noord noch kostenlos parken und das letzte Stück mit dem Bus fahren. Auch der Weg mit Fahrrad geht schnell und gewährt Einblicke in die schönen Wohngegenden. Die Fähre ist kostenlos. Hier gibt´s das rundum sorglos Paket. Vielen Dank! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Henk's place is very good in so many ways. The location is great and is a lovely area to explore. It is very close to Amsterdam and easy to get a bus or cycle in and out. The place it's self is perfect, good room with the added bonus of the use of a sitting area where you can make tea and coffee, drinks and have breakfast in the morning. The breakfast is way more than you require. The host is very helpful and nothing is too big a problem and the dog Ollie is always on hand to fetch balls for you. I stayed there with a colleague while we were on a short cycle tour of the Netherlands, we had two nights to allow us a cycle free day in the city. This worked well and the next morning Henk provided us with a great route through the city on our bikes to allow us to head south. Will definitely go back, it has a good location and facilities for cycle tourists looking for a bit of luxury for a few days.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in the accommodation. Henk is simply an awesome host. Henk provided bikes for us, and it's an excellent location to enjoy both city of Amsterdam and country-side. Henk was also very nice in helping us with our transport-matters when we arrive and leave. The room is clean and spacious. Plus, Ollie is a wonderful 'football' player to play with, the best goalkeeper ever!

We had a wonderful time at Henk's cottage, where we stayed for a week. The location is great, you can enjoy the city and the countryside. Breakfast served by Henk was a great a good start of the day. He gave us a lot of useful information, organize a dinner at a nice familiy, we went to see the farm and cows. Overall, I recommend Henk's cottage. Our holliday was superb.

Staying at the Cottage in the country side was one of the greatest part of our stay in Amsterdam. First Henk his wife and Ollie are the best hosts you could ever hope for. Henk was more than willing to pick us up and take us to his paradise cottage. Breakfast every morning was great. Henk has an assortment of bikes available to make visiting Amsterdam a fun ride in the countryside and a short bus or free ferry ride away. The room was very clean. It's fun to enjoy Amsterdam and relax in the countryside afterwards. All in all this is something to be experienced wether for a long or short stay, I definitely recommend Henk's little piece of paradise right outside of Amsterdam.

Henk and Annemieke were wonderful hosts, having hosts on site gave us great tips on seeing amsterdam in the few days we had to see the sights. We were amazed at how close to all the tourists sights in central amsterdam we were but how peaceful and rural Henk and Annemike's home was. The bikes Henk provided us with were fun and efficient getting us around as we were without a car, bus ride is is only 15 mins into amsterdam. Do the bike ride to Zunderdorf - it's picturesque and the pub pulls a very friendly pint! Henk's breakfasts are spectacular and much better than any alarm clock. We met some wonderful people also staying while we there, truly international for weary New Zealand travellers a long way from home. Thank you Henk and Annemieke I hope we will be back or we see you in New Zealand soon!

Min kone og jeg havde 1 overnatning hos henk. Det er et meget hyggeligt område. Vi lånte gratis 2 cykler som vi brugte ind til amsterdam ca 5 km. Meget spændende by. God bolig og godt morgenmadsbord. Henk er hyggelig og venlig. vi kan kun give den bedste anbefaling.

Il B&B è molto carino e pulito, a circa mezz'ora di autobus dal centro di Amsterdam. Appena usciti dalla periferia della città ci si trova completamente immersi nelle verdi campagne, ideale per chi ama la natura i paesaggi e la tranquillità. La colazione buona e abbondante. Molto utilile le biciclette messe a disposizione dal B&B, che ci hanno permesso di raggiungere un vicino ristorante la sera e di fare un lungo giro la mattina seguente. Il Sig. Henk è molto cortese, ci ha dato tutte le informazione di cui avevamo bisogno e ci ha anche portato con la sua auto alla fermata dell'autobus.
